The Quatuor Mosaïques is already well known to Bath audiences as the outstanding period-instrument string quartet on the international circuit. In the first of its two appearances at this year’s Mozartfest, it plays one of Haydn’s spirited Op 20 quartets, the first of Mozart’s six quartets dedicated to Haydn, and, with the cellist Raphaël Pidoux, the magnificent Quintet which Schubert wrote at the very end of his life.
