Elizabeth Watts, possessor of what has been described as “one of the most beautiful voices Britain has produced in a generation”, made a memorable Mozartfest début two years ago with a group of Mozart songs. Now she returns, with the ever-supportive Julius Drake, to perform a group of favourite Brahms Lieder, and a Schubert selection which mixes the familiar and the less familiar. And as a grand finale they are joined by the clarinettist Richard Hosford in Schubert’s delightful The Shepherd on the Rock.
