The choir and orchestra of The Sixteen end their 2009 Choral Pilgrimage, performing “inspiring music in glorious buildings”, with a programme marking the 250th anniversary of the death of Handel. The four anthems which he composed for the Coronation of King George II in Westminster Abbey in 1727, including the immortal Zadok the Priest, are complemented by other favourite orchestral and choral items.
